A Facebook post about a special encounter at a Williamston store is going viral.  Barry Davis wrote "I witnessed an act of kindness that blew me away."  The experience happened on Monday at J&B Boots in Williamston, when Davis encountered the store's owner, Steve Goward, while shopping for a pair of "cheap work boots" for an employee of his own.

Davis wrote that his young truck driver is a really good guy that's raising 2 little girls.  Davis told Goward that he's been helping the employee with extra hours so he can provide a good Christmas for his family.  Davis said the boots his employee has now are giving him blisters on his feet.

After the pair scoured the clearance rack for boots that would fit the young truck driver and not finding any, Davis said Goward walked over to another shelf, handed him a pair of Work Zone 200 gram thinsulate boots, and told Davis to take them.  He also gave threw in a couple pairs of socks, Davis said.

"I said are you serious, I was blown away, I shook his hand and thanked him and told him that I'm glad to see that there's still some kind Americans out here like you."

Davis said the boots that Goward gifted his employee are 'a hundred dollar pair of work boots.'
