The reallocation in December of the remaining $8.5 million of the original $10 million healing fund established to support Nassar survivors and families with the costs of therapy to the college's $500 million settlement with survivors did not go over well.
Just weeks later, after trustee turnover and just days before former MSU Interim President Engler would resign, the MSU Board of Trustees voted unanimously to create a new fund.

The Intermediate Healing Fund will, again, support those survivors with therapy and other related costs, but only temporarily, while details on a new fund with a fixed amount available is decided.
