State Representative Ben Frederick shared some thoughts with Lansing Integrity on the heels of Governor Whitmer's first State of the State address. Whitmer addressed the legislature on Tuesday night, highlighting a few key priorities: roads, water and education.
Frederick said "I was appreciative of the Governor's repeated call for bipartisan cooperation and collaboration throughout the speech.
I was particularly delighted to hear her champion the goal of 60% postsecondary credential attainment (to include technical training) within our workforce by 2030. While this is an aggressive goal, it is one which is very worthwhile for our state and I look forward to working across the aisle to assist with this and other important priorities."
