On Sunday November 17, 2019, Patricia Lee Colosky, loving wife and mother, passed away after a long battle with kidney failure at home with her family by her side; she was 71. Patricia was born on October 21st, 1948 in Newberry, Michigan to Marlin and Virginia (Clark) Simmerman. She grew up in East Lansing and married “the boy next door”, her childhood sweetheart, Robert Colosky on April 7th 1967. Bob and Pat later moved to Haslett, Michigan where they raised their family. Their house at Lake Lansing was often filled with her children’s friends that she always considered family (most of them referred to her as “Mrs. C”). Many also knew her as “Farmer”, which was a nickname she got later in life from her grandson, Jake. Pat always loved going to bingo, and in the early 90’s, Pat and Bob retired to Perry, Michigan. She enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and loved spending time with her family during the many parties and BBQ’s at home, which became known as “The Farm". Pat always enjoyed riding around the yard in the golf cart with Bob, and in recent years, playing with her great grand puppy, Brody.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Virginia Simmerman, her sons Scott Simmerman and Robert Colosky Jr, her brother Bryan Simmerman and family dog Bowzer.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Robert, her daughter, Kathy (Steve) Reid, her daughter-in-law Kelli Colosky, her grandchildren, Jacob (Nichole) Reid, Quinn Reid, Taylor Colosky, great grandson Jamison Stansfield, her sister Carol (Jerry) Smith and sister-in-law Marcia Allen and many nieces and nephews.
